Ping Feng, piano

Ping Feng, a native of Taiwan, graduated from Mannes College of Music, where her teacher was Prof. Pavlina Dokovska. She has won numerous competitions and awards in the United States and Taiwan, including first place in the 2011 Schubert Club Student Scholarship Competition and the 2010 University of Minnesota Concerto Competition. As an orchestral pianist, she has performed at the Musikverein Hall in Vienna and Taiwan National Music Hall. She has attended the Aspen, Music Academy of the West, Sarasota, and Norfolk music festivals. In 2009, she began a doctoral program at the University of Minnesota, where she received a Teaching Assistantship and studies with Alexander Braginsky.

Clarinetist Daniel Friberg has performed in orchestral, chamber music, and solo settings across the United States, as well as in South Korea, Russia, the Czech Republic, Belgium, Hungary, Austria, Italy and France.  He currently serves as Second and E-flat Clarinetist of the Waterloo-Cedar Falls Symphony Orchestra.  Mr. Friberg holds Bachelor of Arts and Master of Music Degrees from Yale University, and a Doctor of Musical Arts Degree from the University of Minnesota.  In 2009-2010, he studied in Ghent, Belgium, as a fellow of the Belgian American Education Foundation. 

Pianist Mary Jo Gothmann enjoys a varied career as chamber musician, soloist, opera coach and organist.  She has worked for the Metropolitan Opera, Santa Fe Opera and Minnesota Opera, and performed in concert series of the St. Paul Chamber Orchestra, Minnesota Orchestra, EOS orchestra in New York City and Taos Chamber Music Group.  She appeared as piano soloist in Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue with the New Mexico Symphony Orchestra.  Ms. Gothmann holds Master of Music Degrees from the University of Minnesota and New England Conservatory of Music, and a Bachelor of Music degree from St. Olaf College.
