About the Artists:
International award-winning vocal ensemble VOCES8, has established itself as the foremost young British a capella group performing repertoire ranging from early polyphony to unique jazz and popular arrangements. VOCES8 has entertained audiences from across Europe, and has been praised for its stunning performance, exquisite singing and a sound that spans the entire range of vocal color.

In 2005 VOCES8 swept the board at the 44th International Grand Prix in Gorizia, winning first prize for performance in the jazz category and the audience vote for best performance. Since then, the group has received accolades at competitions in Slovenia, Italy, and most recently, Spain, at the European Choral Grand Prix where VOCES8 picked up first prize in both the sacred and secular categories as well as scoring the highest points in the Grand Prix. Concert tours throughout Europe have provided the group with considerable support on the continent.

VOCES8 plays a key role in the education initiative, “Hatch My Ideas,” run by Voces Cantabiles Music. 2009 has seen the group working in over 200 schools leading innovative workshops as part of larger projects. VOCES8 is also the ensemble in residence at Our Lady’s Covenant School, Loughborough. Alongside work in schools, the group also provides corporate training workshops.
