ARTIST BIOS:

Originally from Winthrop, Minnesota, Nicholas Nelson is currently attending the University of Minnesota as a student of Glenda Maurice. In University opera productions , Nelson has appeared as Colline in La Boheme and as Figaro in Le Nozze di Figaro. This coming April he will be performing the role of Seneca in L’incoronzione di Poppea. Past awards include the 2005 Hunter Club Prize and First Place in the Intermediate Voice division of the 2007 Schubert Club Scholarship Competition.
