Artist Bios:
Jacob Wittenberg, jazz piano
Jacob Wittenberg has performed as a pianist with the Minnesota Music Educators Association's All-State Jazz Ensemble, Minnesota Youth Jazz Band I, and the Suburban Classic Honors Jazz Band. Jacob also played piano, drum set, and vibes with the MacPhail School of Music Advanced High School Jazz Combo for two years. In May 2006, he won the David Paulus Memorial Scholarship Award through the Schubert Club/Dakota Foundation for Jazz Education High School Jazz Piano Competition. After studying classical piano for nearly 9 years at St. Joseph's School of Music, Jacob began studying jazz piano with Tom Pletscher three years ago. Jacob is currently a junior at Henry Sibley High School in Mendota Heights.
