The Schubert Club Student Scholarship Competition, held each spring, awards approximately $50,000 annually to young musicians. (An additional $20,000 is given away in other scholarship and grant programs.)
Two cash prizes in each age and instrument category are awarded - $1,500 and $2,000 - to be used for further musical education.
The Competition is named in memory of Bruce P. Carlson, executive director of The Schubert Club from 1968 to 2006.
