Dance Revels Moving History Presents:
Charleston with Me, A Tribute to  Minnesota Maverick Brenda Ueland

Know that you have something important to say!

Minneapolis author Brenda  Ueland's words from her many books have inspired artists and writers since the Roaring Twenties and WWI. Where did she find inspiration? At our own lakes Harriet and Calhoun of Minneapolis, as well as among artists in Greenwich Village, NY. It was a time of the sacrifice of war and the extremes of the Twenties.  How better to represent Brenda's own flamboyance and feisty spirit than through the dance and music of her day: the Charleston, Tango, and Black Bottom!

Charleston with Me is written and directed by Jane Peck, with music on Brenda's own ragtime piano, costumed dancers of Dance Revels Moving History, old slides of  Mpls., and narration from Brenda's books.  Among the six performers is  actress Josette Antomarchi, with both  narration and song.  www.dancerevels.com
