Support the Bruce P. Carlson Scholarship Competition
|
The Schubert Club’s Student Scholarship Competition, now going into its 85th year, is one of the largest of its kind in the country. The competition typically attracts over 250 student competitors, ranging in age from junior high through graduate school, who compete in voice, strings, brass and woodwinds, piano and organ. An additional 70 volunteers and 50 judges also participate. Judges for the finals in 2006 included members of The Eroica Trio. Awarding over $50,000 through the competition and $20,000 annually for other scholarship programs, The Schubert Club encourages young musicians to pursue the study of music.
