Frequently Asked Questions
Where are the Courtroom Concerts located, and how do I get there?
These concerts are held in Courtroom 317 on the third floor of the Landmark Center in downtown Saint Paul. Maps and driving directions are available here.
Where should I park when I attend these concerts?
We recommend parking in one of the nearby parking ramps, as the meters in the area expire after 1 hour. The closest ramp is the Lawson Commons Ramp. More information about transportation and parking can be found at www.saintpaulparking.com.
Do I need to purchase tickets or RSVP for these concerts?
No. These concerts are free and as long as you are not bringing a group of 10 or more there is no need to RSVP.
How early should I RSVP if I am bringing a group of 10 or more?
We appreciate if you can give us one week notice, if that's not possible just let us know as soon as possible.
What time should I arrive for these concerts?
This concert series is quite popular, so you may want to try to arrive 10-15 minutes early if possible as seating is general admission.
If I am attending as a group, how early should my group arrive?
To ensure your group finds seating together, you should arrive between 11:30 - 11:45.
Is it ok to arrive late?
Yes. If you are unable to arrive on time, please enter the performance between performers or between pieces. Enter as quietly as possible and be respectful of the rest of the audience. This is a popular concert series, and there is a chance that there will be no seating available.
Can I eat my lunch during the concert?
Yes, of course. We have a few cafe tables set up in the back of the courtroom. Our only request is that you are considerate to the other audience members and try to keep the noise to a minimum (i.e. please don't bring your lunch in a paper bag).
Are there convenient locations nearby where I can purchase my lunch?
There are several options within only a couple blocks of Landmark Center or you may purchase your lunch at the cafe on the first floor of the Landmark Center at Anita's Cafe.
I don't have much time during my lunch, is it ok to leave early?
We understand that many people have very busy workdays. If you need to leave early, please try to be considerate to the rest of the audience and leave between artists or between pieces.
Do the concerts end promptly at 1:00?
The concerts are scheduled to end at 1:00 pm, but they sometimes extend beyond this time. If you do need to leave before the concert concludes, please do so in a quiet and respectful manner.
I want to come to a Courtroom Concert and I am a patron with disabilities. What amenities does this building and The Schubert Club provide?
The Landmark Center is handicapped accessible by entering on Market Street. Large print programs are available by contacting the Schubert Club at least 24 hours in advance.
The performer last week was great, but why wasn't she wasn't listed on the schedule I picked up a couple weeks ago?
